Etkids
I have been reading up on these 2 until my head is spinning! Can someone help me as to why you would/did choose one over the other. They both look like great programs. My DD will be entering the 9th grade this July so I am looking to stick with which ever one we choose for the next 4 years. Thank you in advanced & May your day be blessed!
sharonTennessee
We have used Homelife for the past 3 years and have been very pleased. They are organized and are completely online so it makes them easy to work with. Whenever we've had questions, they've been quick to respond, and when my daughter needed an attendance form to get her drivers license, they got it out right away. I have friends who have used other umbrella schools and have heard complaints about all the others, but I've never heard anyone complain about Homelife. I especially like how willing they are to work with families, especially with high schoolers, to tailor your studies to your individual students. Let me know if you have any specific questions. K-FL
One thing to consider, Homelife is a 600 school--meaning that you legally are a private schooler. If your dc want to do anything (sports, band, Chemistry. . .) at the ps, you are not allowed. Crossroads (when I checked years ago) did have a non-600 option so that you could take advantage of being a county-registered homeschool while having them do your transcript, diploma, etc. NARS is that way too. Etkids
Thanks for your input Sharon! I printed a lot of information off about them today. I'm just hoping the Lord gives me some direction!! Oh- and K in FL in Michigan we are not required to notify the state so would that still stand in affect?
K-FL
I don't know, since it would be what Michigan law requires. Since both Crossroads & Homelife are active in FL, I jumped to the conclusion (I know, I know. . .) that you were here too. Sorry!
Luanne
NARS is quite a bit more expensive though and they don't work with you much. Anyway I didn't have a very good experience with them.
