SAT Score Choice Question

Recommended Posts

I can't seem to find the answer to this one.

It looks like you can select which test date you submit scores from for the SAT. Got that.

BUT if you take SAT II tests can you only choose which subject tests you submit OR can you choose which dates for which subject tests you submit?

Does that make sense? Can't seem to find the answer to that one.

Thanks,

Janice

You get to choose actual tests from previous test dates, but not the current one, if you are sending in conjunction with an actual test. If you send one of the 4 free you must include all of the tests for that particular sitting.

Does that make sense? I feel like I'm talking through a drum this morning. :(

As long as you mean the score reports that you order/pay for after the fact, then the answer is yes. You can pick and choose which SAT II scores to send (even among those taken on the same test date).

For sake of example, I went to my dd's account on College Board. She's taken a couple SAT's and several SAT II"s, including Literature and Latin subject tests both taken on the same date last December.

I pretended to make a score report order, and the system allowed me to send a college the Latin score but not the Literature score.

This policy is confirmed on their web site:

for what it's worth, I couldn't find the answer to your question on the student side of the College board web site. The link I posted is from the Educator area - I always seem to have more luck on that end wrt getting my questions answered.

One caveat: Some colleges are not buying into Score Choice and still ask the student applicants to submit *all* of his SAT scores. The following list:

individual college policies on score choice

gives the details.
