My 14yo told me I sound mad in my texts to her. Apparently putting periods at the ends of my sentences makes me sound mad.

She's not alone though. There's actually been a good bit written about this by actual linguists and so forth.

CTCMath was an excellent fit for my DD & I. We're heading towards our 4th yr using this program and DD's 2nd year of highschool level math. All the best as you research options!

We switched from Singapore Primary Mathematics to Saxon Pre-Algebra, after 6th grade. We also switched the younger ones to CLE from Singapore and it has been PERFECT!!!

I have quite liked Math Lessons for a Living Education, there is time involved as a parent but it was not much and my son loved it.

HIdden costs of dual enrollment: It's really easy to stop by the bakery for a croissant after dropping her off for classes.

DD has a cheer practice that STARTS at 7:45. Which is why I didn't schedule outside classes for the following morning so she can sleep a little later. I can't imagine how the kids who attend traditional schools manage.

I feel your pain. There's only one night a week that my kids are home before 8:30 at night now. During performances, it's often not until 10. I don't know how schoolkids do it.

I recall the days that my one son had basketball games which started at 9:30. It's easier when they start to drive. Nowadays, I am usually home by 9. Soooo nice.
