Prednisone insomnia, ugh.
SadieI'm on a lower dose today so really hoping for sleep. It's nearly 10 and my brain is ramping up though, so it's not looking good :(

melmichiganI've given up. I've been cleaning bookshelves, purging homeschool curriculum for sale, and putting together plans for next year. When all else fails I crawl into bed with a book and call that close enough. I only sleep for an hour or two at a time until I get the dose down. My poor husband doesn't know what to do.

SadieOh man, I really feel for you melmichigan. Hope you can wean down sooner rather than later.

Book a Week is live on the chat board - talking about the Hugo Awards and Alfred Bester's Demolished Man
I have to play Yanni to calm my dog while it's thundering. It's either that or reggae, and we listened to that the last time. I tried some classic rock and he was not having it, lol. Oh well...
quarkYanni! :) My poodle will listen to anything but my dachshund needs Abba or the Great Courses in order to calm down. Aren't dogs fun? :)

I think my youngest's hamster is dying and I'm not sure there's much else I can do. :(
Sadie:( My experience is that there's not much you can do except to make sure the animal is comfortable. Hope your youngest isn't too sad.

CES2005Thanks for the kind words, y'all. AT least we know more about hamsters than we did before.

Our first DI Instant Challenge party went well!
Second violation letter and second appeal later; zoning official didn't give much hope. Praying for a good meeting with the mayor. Not going down without a fight.
CES2005Hope it works out! I'm sorry you're jumping through hoops. :(

I can't decide if I should sell the SM that I'm done with, or keep it...

In the chilly house, the sweet sound of Lena Horne fills the room.
My life is not really back to normal after having the baby 4.5 years ago LOL
happyccWhen you have children with special needs or developmental delay that babyhood/toddler stage seems to just elongate. It goes on and on and on.

MerryAtHopeI was going to say my life never did get back to normal--I think we have to find a new kind of normal after kids! But especially with those that have developmental delays. (((Hugs)))
