Democracy Dies in Darkness. When fact becomes opinion, and opinion becomes taboo, ignorance prevails.
Earth Hour is tonight, 8:30 in any time zone. Let's unplug and enjoy some peace and quiet (and darkness).

Facing the mid-year slump! How do you keep your motivation going when you're ready to be done for the school year??
fourisenoughI sprinkle things I enjoy into our days: cleaning a closet, putting away all the snow gear, making summer plans, etc. Total Type A here!

Tibbie DunbarI'm always motivated this time of year - all my ps friends are complaining that their children won't learn anything the rest of the year; they'll just be testing. :( So I remind myself grimly to be thankful that my children may keep learning, and that they don't have to take the stupid tests. Honestly, it's enough to keep me going until summer.

JewelsWe took spring break early. I didn't even think about school. I am also doing all my planning for next year now so that in about nine weeks, we can go on summer break. I am also planning out our summer activities. We have so much to look forward to which makes the goal of finishing easier. Hope this helps.

Interpersonal relationships can be so challenging!

Proud of myself - replaced my computer's power supply all by myself. Hopefully, this will fix it! (It was a bad day in our house when both the microwave & the computer died.)
RootAnn! If the power supply doesn't fix it, I'll be looking at a new motherboard. I have no idea what those cost, but I won't take it to the computer repair place! My backup plan is a homeschooled techy teen. That would be my recommendation. Give them your budget & see what they can do.

Chelle in MOOur computer shop said $500-$600! Not worth it. We tried a techy homeschool dad for my laptop last year and didn't get the best result. Our favorite shop (locally owned mom-and-pop) got so popular that they started taking only commercial business. Poo.

Today's geography lesson: mapping Ed Sheeran's North American tour. My middle had him crashing his plane in the Bermuda Triangle, but saving everyone on board. hehe
Dd just let me read a short story she wrote. It made me cry. Damn, this girl is good.
Chrysalis AcademyYes, they've come a long way from where we all began, haven't they?
