The Critical Reader is offering free advance copies of our forthcoming guide, How to Write for Class: A Student's Guide to Grammar, Punctuation, and Style, in exchange for honest reviews.

Loosely based on the original (pre-2016) version of The Ultimate Guide to SAT Grammar, the book is geared toward high school and beginning college writers and is specifically designed to bridge the gap between the study of grammatical principles and the application of those rules to academic writing. It covers all the grammar tested on the old SAT as well as the current SAT and ACT, but discusses a number of concepts in greater depth and includes material not tested on either exam.
